He's got 135+ nominations and 36 wins...most recently Tar was up for several Oscars and made its way through the golden derby of major nominations. 

About the writer:  Field began as an actor and just as he was on the precipice of A-list roles, decided to switch to directing and writing. A bold move that has paid off. He's got credits in television, shorts, and features for acting, directing, writing, and crew, and in nearly every genre. 

Why I love their work: He's a storyteller unafraid to show us the shadows, violence, and ugly under side of "idyllic" circumstances. He understands what he's asking of the actors who will play his roles because he's been in their shoes, and actors can't wait to play his complicated characters.
