My Oscar Noms Scorecard is a Mess

The results are in!

My score was pretty good, until it wasn't. Here’s how I did:

BEST PICTURE – I chose 4/10 of the Academy’s nominees. I was pleasantly surprised to see King Richard on the list!

BEST DIRECTOR – 2/5 I should’ve known they wouldn’t snub Spielberg. (I’m not against him, just thought they’d pick others).

BEST ACTOR – 5/5

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR – 2/5 Good thing I didn’t put money on my picks. Sheesh. Super bummed about one in particular.

BEST ACTRESS – 4/5 I have no earthly idea how Lady Gaga isn’t on this list, but WOW good for you, Kristen Stewart.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS – 2/5

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY – 4/5

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY – 5/5

BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE – 4/5 I don’t know how A HERO isn’t on this list, but great news for Bhutan!

BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE – 4/5 Yeah, I knew it was a stretch, but I love Bob Ross. Did that one actually qualify for a nomination? LOL

BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT – 5/5

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE – 4/5

BEST ANIMATED SHORT – 5/5

BEST LIVE ACTION SHORT – 5/5

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY– 4/5

BEST FILM EDITING – 4/5

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS – 4/5

BEST SOUND – 3/5

BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN – 3/5

BEST COSTUME DESIGN – 1/5 Clearly I don’t know my hat from my shoes on this one! Geez-o-pete’s!

BEST MAKEUP & HAIR STYLING – 5/5 Can I just say I miss movies with Ve Neil’s incredible makeup? When are we getting a Beetlejuice sequel?

BEST MUSIC - ORIGINAL SCORE – 4/5

BEST MUSIC – ORIGINAL SONG – 4/5
